Quality Evaluation of Poultry Litter Biochar Produced at Different Pyrolysis Temperatures as a Sustainable Management Approach and Its Impact on Soil Carbon Mineralization

Poultry litter biochar (PLB) is a value-adding soil amendment and an economically sustainable approach that used to enhance food safety reduce environmental harm. has promising potential but been under-examined in regards carbon (C) sequestration relation its type application rate. The objective of this study was investigate the effectiveness PLB enhancing C acid soils through short-term incubation experiment. amended with different materials: (1%, 5%, 10%) control (non-amended). results indicated increased mineralization relative (19–1562%), it significantly increasing rate (e.g., addition 29, 99, 172% for 1, 5, 10% 400 °C PLB), applied mineralized (ACM) decreased temperature cumulative pool ranges ACM 1% PLB, added at pyrolysis temperatures 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 °C, were 42.0, 34.4, 19.6, 6.16, 4.04%, respectively).
